When staying warm NEVER use a gas range or oven to heat your home. Turn off fireplaces &
space heaters when you exit rooms.
Call and check on neighbors and bring indoor pets inside to stay warm.
If the power goes out, know how to contact your electric company.

Avoid overexertion when shoveling snow. Take frequent breaks and stay hydrated.
Stay off the roads if you can. If you HAVE to drive, let someone know your destination, your
route, and when you expect to arrive.
